Effective 0800 on April 19, 2023, MCD 2023-07 made the following changes:

1. Medical operations Manual Volume 1 Protocol CS4 Hospital Destination is updated to encourage more use of Free Standing EDs (FSEDs) for appropriate patients. The FSED criteria has not changed but we would like to help with ED crowding by trying to take more appropriate patients to FSEDs. Please consider going to a FSED with Category Green patients who don’t have any of the FSED exclusion criteria. As a reminder the FSED exclusion criteria are: Requires a specialty referral service, >20 weeks pregnant, or requiring chemical or physical restraints).
2. Medical operations Manual Volume 2 AD1 Rules and Regs is updated to the most current version.
3. The ability to go directly to the table of contents by clicking on “Volume 1” or “Volume 2” on the first page has been added. As a reminder, you can click the title of a protocol in the table of contents to go directly to that protocol. Once in a protocol, click the title at the top of the page to go back to the table of contents.

Effective 0800 on April 19, 2023, MCD 2023-08 made the following changes:

1. Pandemic Plan is discontinued. PPE requirements back to normal but feel free to continue to use a surgical mask as part of your Universal PPE if you so choose.
2. BLS to 911 Program continues as per Medical Control Board Resolution 2023-01.
