Two new MCDs are going live at 0800 on Wednesday, June 7th:

MCD 2023-13 BLS Transport Update #2 allows transport-capable ALS First Responder Units to initiate FD transport of category YELLOW patients without OLMC contact (the same way you do with category RED patients) and cancel an incoming BLS ambulance. There has been NO CHANGE to BLS Criteria or the need to ensure 2 paramedics are attending to Category RED patients during transport whenever possible.

MCD 2023-14 Health Buddies Referral – Pilot Program allows St. Petersburg Fire-Rescue to initiate a pilot program of referrals to the Health Buddies Program for seniors. The referral link is on the pcemsomd.com home page, and referrals will be documented in the “Community Referral – Health Buddies” ePCR intervention.
